New neighbors and garden update

My first tomato is growing . It's really tiny. I drew a red circle around it so you could see it. I have another one on another plant but it's so small it didn't show up in the picture I took of it.

The first row of green beans are up. And mulched. The second row is up also but I ran out of mulch so I didn't take a picture of them.

And this is a picture of my new neighbors. Two little baby bunnies. Aren't they cute!

I have plastic bags tied to the tomato cages. I hope it will keep them from eating my beans.

More bad news

My computer crashed. I have almost everything saved. So I didn't lose much. I got this one running again but I'm going to get a new computer this weekend. This one has crashed twice now. I miss iTunes.

My Garden

My poor poor garden. It looks awful. Tuesday night we had a storm and it hailed. We had dime sized hail for about 5 minutes.

The pepper leaves that are left have holes in them. I don't know if the melons will survive. But the worst is my cucumbers. Three of them broke and another is bend so bad I don't know if it will make it. The one that survived looks really good. One of the tomatoes was laying down but I was able to push it back up. The beans are still in hiding. And the potatoes are okay.

I'm going to have to buy more cucumber plants.

The PAIN

Last night right as I was going to bed. One of my teeth started hurting. I took some Tylenol but it still hurt. I was only able to sleep for an hour or two at a time before the pain woke me up. Today it was worse. It hurt so bad that I couldn't even eat anything. And nothing would help. I actually cried it hurt so bad. I called my dentist and very luckily for me there had been a cancellation. So I got in today. I have never hurt so bad in my whole life. I woke my Mom up (she works nights and sleeps during the day) because I hurt so bad I didn't think I could drive. I think I said five words in the whole 30 minute trip.

I felt better as soon as he stuck the needle in to numb it. He pulled it. I don't think it wanted to come out. I was sweating by the time he was finished. My Mom said she heard me yell once while he was pulling it. I yelled more than once. It didn't really hurt just uncomfortable. He called it pressure. It had three roots and it all came out in one piece.

I asked to see it and he showed it to me. A piece of the tooth had broken off a long time ago. Some decay had grown behind the nerve and that is why it hurt so bad. I told my Mom later that the roots were about 5 inches long but she didn't believe me. They looked that way to me.

The pain shots have worn off and I don't hurt at all!!! I'm so glad. It will probably be sore tomorrow. But anything is better than having to repeat today.

By the way I didn't stop talking all the way back home. I'm not sure which trip my Mom enjoyed better.

My garden

My garden is planted. And I thought I'd share some pictures.

I have limited space so I'm doing a lot of container gardening this year. Instead of just growing tomatoes and peppers.

This box was over looked when I first planted but I had to buy something to put in it. So I got some honey dew melon plants. When the vines get long enough I'll have them going out into the yard.
Tomato plant. There is one in the ground also. But it's kind of hard to see in the picture.

In the wadding pool is a tomato in the middle. Cucumbers are around the edge and onion sets are scatted all around. The onions are already growing better than weeds.

Another tomato

Pepper plants.
3 tomato plants in the ground and in the tire there are potatoes.

I don't have the money to buy a Topsy Turvy. So I made my own. One tomato and one pepper. I also had a cucumber growing upside down but something ate it!!! I was so mad! It was the one I really wanted to see grow upside down.

I also have one row of green beans planted and I'll plant another one late this week or early next week. But it just looks like dirt so I didn't take a picture yet. I will when they pop up.
